“I wrote this last year around the time of a good friend passing. It’s not about him as such but the music is how I felt in a way. He was a man of firm principals, I never had anyone tell me they loved me so much outside of family. Another friend had commented “The King is dead” when he found out he was gone. Paul Knibbs was a King amongst men and as Red as it gets politically so hence the title. I think he would have liked it.”
